This curriculum guide contains teacher and student materials for a course on outboard-engine boat systems and service for power product equipment technician occupations. The course contains the following four units of instruction: (1) Outboard-Engine Design and Identification; (2) Operation and Service of Engine-Support Systems; (3) Operation and Service of Power-Output Systems; and (4) Operation and Service of Control and Safety Systems. Each section in the teacher edition includes some or all of the following components for each of the four units of instruction: suggested activities, answers to assignment sheets, written test with answers, unit evaluation form, transparency masters, and worksheet masters. The teacher edition also includes a competency profile, an instructional and task analysis, academic and workplace skill classifications and definitions, and a list of related academic and workplace skills. All of the unit components focus on measurable and observable learning outcomes. Each instructional unit in the student edition includes some or all of the following components: objective sheet, information sheet, student supplements, assignment sheets, and job sheets. (KC)
