As higher education institutions continue to adapt and improve their student success models, it is important to make sure not to forget, or fail to maximize, the potential of information technology (IT) as a partner in student success efforts. This article discusses the traditional role of IT on campuses and how that role is evolving, especially in connection to student success models. Recommendations for the future role of IT in student success planning are included.
