In designing a course for environmentally aware citizens, the need for an understanding of basic ecological principles was identified and incorporated. Funds for this project were provided by an Environmental Education Act Grant that included tuition and books. Participant feedback indicated that the project was successful in clarifying environmental understanding. (MA)
