Delivery of Instruction via Television. Final Report.
Wisconsin State Board of Vocational, Technical, and Adult Education, Madison.
During 1985, the Wisconsin Board of Vocational, Technical, and Adult Education (VTAE) expanded its delivery of instruction via television. Approximately 3,000 persons at 170 sites throughout the United States and Canada participated in the VTAE's Technical School of the Air. In addition to delivering six to eight courses per semester, the network acquired the following three new courses for use in alternative delivery systems: a series of five 30-minute programs on child care skills, a series of 39 lessons covering basic math concepts and operations, and a French language program geared toward children. In addition, a staff development seminar was delivered via video conferencing, and consultation services on distance learning applications were provided to local VTAE districts. (This document contains enrollment reports for the individual VTAE districts throughout the State.) (MN)
