Engineering Technology Programs Courses Guide for Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing.
Georgia Univ., Athens. Div. of Vocational Education.
This guide describes the requirements for courses in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) that are part of engineering technology programs conducted in vocational-technical schools in Georgia. The guide is organized in five sections. The first section provides a rationale for occupations in design and in production, traces the origin of courses in design and production techniques, and lists occupational competencies for CAD/CAM occupations. In the second section, course objectives and scheduling outlines for programs are presented, while the third section suggests a course structure. The fourth section is a guide to the modules to be taught in the CAD/CAM courses. The final section contains references to instructional materials and equipment, occupational inventory and occupational competencies checklists, job descriptions for engineering and science technology, and a glossary of occupational terms.
