These three volumes provide (1) basic information about the art of oral communication and its relevance in teaching and learning, (2) explanations of theories and methods for teachers at all levels who wish to include training in oral communication as part of the regular curriculum, (3) lists of teaching ideas, lesson plans, unit plans, and supplementary references, and (4) methods of classroom organization. Organized into three general courses for teachers at all levels, these volumes present prototypes of oral communication programs which deal with such topics as role playing, decision making, problem solving, creative writing, independent study, dramatics, and poetry, as well as with communication activities in the subject matter areas of science and social studies.
