The program proposal is designed to address the increasing demand for trained personnel to support the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems at residential and commercial sites. The three main objectives of the proposed program are: (1) to develop a flexible curricula to train a solar heating and cooling workforce; (2) to identify and design the facets of a training program to train this workforce; and (3) to foster implementation of the technology and validate curricula through provision of seminars, workshops, short courses, and public information releases.
