Exact delineation of the duties and obligations of Catholic educators in the development of religious growth in their pupils is set forth. Teaching methods and instructional aids are suggested, and the role of the teacher as a spiritual guide is explored. Responsibility for moral instruction is delegated to parents and to the community as well as to the formal educational facility. Quotations from the Bible and from Vatican Declarations are utilized to substantiate the main points of the speech. (LH)
