Reimagines educational leadership using Cornel West's notions of prophetic spirituality. Proposes three categories of leadership: principled, pragmatic, and purposive, all of which are grounded in components of West's prophetic spirituality. Argues that transformation of educational leadership necessitates searching for unique way to alter its construction. Suggests African-American spirituality presents one such way.
