While the physical exercise of playing golf and the sheer enjoyment of the sport are both positive benefits, there are subtler opportunities for golf to be used in conjunction with other ideas for learning in K-12 education; the mechanics and details behind the sport, as well as the variety of clubs, courses, and swings are all potential opportunities for student learning to occur--specifically in Technology and Engineering Education. This article highlights one potential opportunity for classroom integration and learning centered on the game of golf, which is a natural fit in middle/high school classrooms. Additionally, a sample lesson plan is included that can be used, modified, or adapted for classroom use. Teachers are encouraged to explore other potential possibilities for integrating the game of golf into their students' learning.
