Schleifer, David; Silliman, Rebecca
Public Agenda
Policymakers and experts overwhelmingly agree that the United States needs more people with college degrees or other postsecondary credentials and are working on many fronts to fulfill that goal. This brief aims to help them do so in ways that are informed by and responsive to the needs and perspectives of the American public. This brief summarizes findings from two national surveys of American adults. A survey of 1,006 Americans 18 and older was conducted by telephone from July 20 to July 24, 2016. A survey of 1,002 Americans 18 and older was conducted by telephone from August 10 to August 14, 2016.
