Master Builder of Bridges between Research and Practice: An Interview with Ann Robinson

This article presents an interview with Ann Robinson, a professor of educational psychology and founding director of the Center for Gifted Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is the president of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), a former editor of the Gifted Child Quarterly (GCQ), and was the first Editor for Service Publications appointed by the association. Robinson has received the NAGC Early Scholar, Early Leader, and Distinguished Service Awards. She and coauthor Sidney Moon received the GCQ Paper of the Year Award for "The National Study of State and Local Advocacy in Gifted Education." Robinson has a passion for biography, is interested in using biography as a research method, and has created a series of teacher's guides for using biography in the classroom, "Blueprints for Biography." In this interview, Robinson shares her experiences that led her to the field of gifted education and talks about the Center for Gifted Education as well as her research that received national attention.
