Conceptual Frameworks in Undergraduate Nursing Curricula: Report of a National Survey.
McEwen, Melanie; Brown, Sandra C.
Journal of Nursing Education, v41 n1 p5-14 Jan 2002
Responses from 300 accredited nursing schools indicated that they used eclectic conceptual frameworks for curriculum; the most common component was the nursing process. Associate degree programs were more likely to use simple-to-complex organization. Diploma programs were more likely to use the medical model than baccalaureate programs. Frameworks based on nursing theory declined. (Contains 27 references.) (SK)
