Advanced Information Processing. Volume I. Student's Materials. Curriculum Improvement Project. Region II.
Stanford, Linda
This course curriculum is intended for use in an advanced information processing course. It builds on the skills developed in the previous information processing course but goes one step further by requiring students to perform in a simulated office environment and improve their decision-making skills. This volume contains two parts of the curriculum--the student materials. The student course syllabus provides this information: credit hours, catalog description, prerequisites, required texts, instructional process, objectives, student evaluation, and class schedule. The student laboratory guide is divided into 10 units: updating company files, jobs using dBase 3 and Lotus 1-2-3, medical, medical forms, legal, miscellaneous documents, learning new software, dictation, printing out database management and spreadsheet files, and office automation project. Materials provided for each unit include an introduction and jobs (learning activities). (YLB)
