Lane, Kenneth; Ward, Raymond
This inservice manual is intended to assist vocational education teachers in using the techniques of computer-assisted instruction in special vocational education programs. Addressed in the individual units are the following topics: the basic principles of computer-assisted instruction (TRS-80 computers and typing on a computer keyboard); money management; basic spelling skills (basic and employment-related vocabulary); basic mathematics skills and a teacher's budget; and basic writing skills (completing employment applications, developing three different types of resumes, and writing a letter of application). Each section contains some or all of the following: instructional text, one or more learning activities, sample forms, sample computer programs, and answers to the learning activities.
