In this commentary, Shriberg acknowledges that social justice and racial justice are critical frameworks from which to view school psychology. Individually and collectively, the works in this special issue of "School Psychology Forum" have added a tremendous service to the field. In addition to advancing research, the articles challenge readers to take personal stock in their thoughts and actions. While it has been well documented that school psychology as a field is overwhelmingly White (Fagan, 2014), the author questions: How can an overwhelmingly White field address racial injustice? The author offers a few basic steps. First: simply to acknowledge that White privilege exists; second: to listen; third: to think; and, finally: to act. The author opines that suggesting that one acknowledge, listen, think, and act is not particularly novel or revolutionary. Yet, without being purposeful around social and racial justice, there exists the risk of becoming lost and easily defeated. In retrospect, practitioners are asked: are they ready not only to point out injustices, but also to endure the criticism that likely will follow and yet persevere toward positive outcomes?
