The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) is committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all students. Through the National Science Education Standards, NSTA calls attention to the importance of science standards for all students and the need for a scientifically literate populace. NSTA is also working to ensure that changes in scientific knowledge as well as new information about how students learn and what effective teacher education looks like remain at the forefront of its work. In this interview, Executive Director Francis Eberle discusses the state of science education.
