Math: Figure and Object Characteristics. Measurement and Geometry. Grades K-9. Revised Edition.
Instructional Objectives Exchange, Los Angeles, CA.
To help classroom teachers construct mathematics tests, thirty-seven general objectives, corresponding sub-objectives, sample test items, and answers are presented. In general, sub-objectives are arranged in increasing order of difficulty. The objectives were written to comprehensively cover two categories: measurement and geometry. Measurement sub-objectives are organized around the following scientific/mathematical concepts or types of measurement: accuracy, error, and precision; length; area; volume; angles; time; weight; temperature; dry measures; monetary measures; scale drawings; and proportional measures. Geometry sub-objectives cover basic concepts and terms of plane geometry, specific plane geometric figures, geometric-constructions, and properties of geometric solids. (A glossary is appended.)
