Agricultural Record Keeping. Instructor Key and Supplementary Units.
Martin, Donna
This teaching manual is designed to help students with special needs learn and apply recordkeeping skills in agriculture. The material applies specifically to recordkeeping for a supervised agricultural experience program. The units presented here supplement the curriculum guide, "Developing Programs of Supervised Agricultural Experience." The document begins with an instructor's guide containing a general preface, notes to the instructor, a list of references, a list of competencies addressed, a special needs follow-up questionnaire, a class progress chart, and answer keys to skill sheets, activity sheets, and lesson tests. Following this, eight self-paced lessons cover receipts; expenditures; cash flow; inventory; financial statement; business agreements; ownership business agreements; and placement training agreements. Each unit consists of some or all of the following color-coded components: a page with introduction, objectives, specific competencies listed as study questions, and a short student assessment form; terms and their definitions; steps of procedure which present a verbal and illustrated step-by-step explanation of a given skill or task; skill sheets with paper and pencil exercises; activity sheets; lesson test; and performance checklist.
