Providing Quality Laboratories to Long-Distance Educational Programs.
Gammon, Tammy; Sutton, John
USDLA Journal, v17 n2 p71-81 Apr 2003
North Carolina State University (UNC) has been on the forefront of long-distance education by offering a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Mechatronics Concentration at its remote campus located at UNC Asheville. The program demonstrates that long-distance laboratories are feasible and should not be a stumbling block to offering engineering and science degrees at remote campuses. Problems and solutions associated with remote-campus laboratories are addressed. (AEF)
