Participant changes in leadership capabilities and a cooperative extension faculty workshop are discussed in papers concerned with extension education. Three presentations on international education focus on adult education in Nigeria and Greece and Farming Systems Research and Development. Four papers on learning theory discuss Eduard Lindeman's critical theory of adult learning, learning contracts, a holistic view of the adult learner, and Ira Progoff's "Intensive Journal." Four papers on literacy address reading instruction, educational credentials, adult high school non-completers, and locus of control and course completion.
