2017-19 Strategic Action Plan
Washington Student Achievement Council
Education is the catalyst for families, communities, and businesses to thrive. While Washington's employers report a growing need for a more educated workforce in order to stay competitive, many individuals need higher levels of education to obtain work that can support themselves and their families. Washington's Roadmap goals identify the long-term education needs of our individuals and our economy. The 2014 Legislature approved the following ten-year goals for educational attainment: (1) By 2023, all adults in Washington, ages 25-44, will have a high school diploma or equivalent; and (2) By 2023, at least 70 percent of Washington adults, ages 25-44, will have a postsecondary credential. This report presents the following in relation to the 2017-19 Strategic Action Plan: (1) Key Challenges; (2) Strategies to Increase Attainment; (3) Outcomes; and (4) WSAC 2017-19 Strategic Action Plan Priorities.
