College students need both a rigorous liberal arts core curriculum and a faster track to graduation that would saddle them with less debt. This brief report discusses the concept of a three-year undergraduate degree in which requirements are shortened from 120 credit hours to 90 credit hours, and students complete 27 credit hours of core curriculum to provide the foundational knowledge necessary for career and citizenship.
