This report presents the results of a questionnaire from 161 members of the Association of Physical Plant Administrators of Universities and Colleges (APPA). The purpose of this report is to compile and present comparative cost data for the maintenance and operation of physical plants of universities and colleges for the fiscal year 1972-73. The organization of information in this report is intended to facilitate its extraction and further analysis in a manner most beneficial to individual institutions. The survey results are presented as follows: unit costs per gross square foot and wage rate survey, both grouped by region, enrollment, and top level of academic program. Results are also presented in graphs. The appendix included the questionnaire, adopted standards for classification of accounts, and floor area definitions. (Author/PG)
