The purpose of this guide is to help educators relate the environment to the elementary and secondary classroom. Chapters are constructed to offer practical assistance in planning, specific suggestions for programs, and evaluation guidelines for teachers, administrators, and members of boards of education. Considered are guiding principles for environmental education; curriculum, resource, and financial factors; master planning and organizing the program; and utilizing school site resources.
