This guide contains instructor's materials for teaching a secondary agricultural construction course consisting of instructional units on arc welding (8 lessons) and project construction (14 lessons). The materials for each unit include student objectives, a list of competencies from which the objectives were derived, suggestions for motivating students to study the unit, lists of references for the student and teacher, a competency profile on which student performance can be recorded, and the lessons. The lessons typically include study questions; student handouts, including job sheets and work sheets; questions to be used to evaluate student performance; teaching procedures, including some content material; and answers to evaluation questions. The appendices contain a checklist for accidents, a sample student accident report form, and software programs on trailer axle placement that can be used an IBM, Radio Shack, and Apple computers.
