Moseley); and Section 3, Mission and Institutional Achievement: Two Case Studies, contains "The Triumph of the Liberal Arts in a Changing Environment: The Birmingham-Southern Experience" (Neal R. Berte) and "The President and Institutional Advancement: The Story of St. Michael's College" (Edward L. Henry). Section 4, Carrying Out the Vision is the book's longest section and contains seven essays:"The Independent College and University President as Educational Leader" (Jerald C. Walker); "The President and Planning: Management and Vision" (Louis C. Vaccaro); "Building an Effective Board of Trustees" (Catherine Dunn); "The President and the College Community: Student Services--The Second Curriculum" (Keith G. Briscoe); "Building a Team in a Christian College" (David C. Le Shana); "Laws, Lawyers, and Legislation: Triple Threats to Visionary Presidential Leadership" (Eugene B. Habecker); and "The Presidential Role in Financial Development" Robert W. Brown).
