A foreword offers background information on the storyteller and the recording of the stories. The six stories include: "When Minto Village First Began"; "How We Travel Among the Lakes"; "Tanning a Moosehide"; "How We Build Canoes"; "Using a Canoe"; and "How We Build Sleds."
