Relative Heights of Males and Females in Children's Drawings.

Examined in two studies the height of male and female figures in 5- and 7-year-olds' drawings. Found that adult figures were drawn taller than child figures. For boys, mean male and female heights were approximately the same. Girls drew females taller than males because more girls used different structures such as incorporating a skirt or trousers to differentiate figures. (Author/KB)
