The outcomes of environmental education, both desirable and undesirable, are discussed. Specifically described are environmental education and minority groups, and environmental education and special interest groups. Suggestions for the improvement of environmental education are provided. (CW)

This article outlines the results of a study of household recycling conducted in Somerset County, New Jersey, and describes some of the forces that seem to encourage recycling behavior. The results suggest that people must be both motivated and capable of overcoming barriers to recycling. (CW)

Presented is a study designed to ascertain the level of ecological knowledge and attitudes of citizens of the Dominican Republic regarding national parks and natural resources. Overall, the level of ecological knowledge was determined to be very low and attitudes toward parks and resources seemed to be negative. (CW)

Presented is a study designed to determine the effects of the order of test administration on attitude scores. The findings indicate that attitude scores may be significantly altered by the order of test administration. (CW)

Analyzed were attitudes toward animals held by 145 children, ages 12 to 14. The most prevalent attitudes were humanistic, moralistic, naturalistic, and ecologistic. No attitude differences were found between boys and girls. Close to 90 percent of the children reported that they had spent time in class discussing wildlife. (Author/CW)
