Evaluated an intervention to reduce impaired driving among students (N=21) by administering a questionnaire before and after the intervention. Results showed significant positive changes along a number of dimensions among students who received the intervention compared to those who did not. (BH)

Describes an outcome evaluation of an eight-session program of alcohol education for parents (N=54). Results showed the program increased the alcohol knowledge of participants, but influenced their attitudes toward parenting in an undesirable direction. Compared the impact of a live theatrical performance and/or alcohol lesson plans on 716 grade 9 and 10 Canadian students. Results indicated that all interventions had an impact on attitudes and behavior and offered encouragement for the potential of theatrical performances as a vehicle for drug education. (LLL)

Evaluated "Know the Score," a scorecard designed to allow an individual to monitor drinking behavior, in three occupational groups (N=108). Discusses the objectives of alcohol education, program development, and evaluation. Objectives usually include immediate behavior change as well as long range outcomes.
