Compared perceived stress and social support in parents of children with and without disabilities. Findings indicated higher perceived stress in families with disabled children, with no differences between fathers and mothers. Negative correlations existed between families' stress and support provided by friends and relatives. Results suggest the need for active engagement of fathers in delivery of early intervention services. (TM)
