Expanding the Application Pool: Exploring the College Decision-Making of Students from Single-Parent Families.
Kennedy, Eugene; Bateman, Mark
College and University, v75 n1 p2-10 Sum 1999
Using data from a national longitudinal survey, a study explored factors predisposing students from single- and two-parent families to pursue postsecondary education and identified implications for enrollment managers and researchers. Results indicate that, although parents play the most pivotal role for each group of students, mothers are of primary importance for students from single-parent families. (Author/MSE)
