Shapson, Stan; Kaufman, David – Canadian Modern Language Review, 1978
A presentation of a study and evaluation of a late-immersion French program in British Columbia. Grade Ten students took one semenster in which French was the only language of instruction. Proficiency of these students increased significantly. The findings, along with previous research, suggest that late immersion is a feasible option. (AMH)

A detailed analysis of errors in French composition of French-speaking secondary school students in Ontario. A general conclusion is that these students do not possess a mastery of formal written French. It is hoped that the analysis will help teachers of minority Francophones elsewhere.
