Career Orientations of Senior Executives and Their Implications for Careers Guidance.
Pemberton, Carole; And Others
British Journal of Guidance and Counselling, v22 n2 p233-45 1994
In a study of senior executives (n=132) involved in a career counseling program, there was no evidence of any change in expectations of future employing organizations or the career signals they held important. Postcounseling clients rated themselves more highly than precounseling clients on knowledge, confidence, career self-awareness, ability to negotiate career change, and attribution of career progress to their own personal qualities.
