Jones, Luke; Peck, Adam
About Campus, v27 n6 p12-15 Jan-Feb 2023
To improve student success outcomes and close equity gaps, Boise State University has been testing a variety of ways to embed design thinking methodologies into the rhythm of student affairs work and serves as a case study for other university leaders looking to accelerate innovation on behalf of students. Design thinking can be effective in Higher Education to help teams improve student outcomes if one deploys strategies to translate and embed the design process. This article offers an overview and benefits of design thinking, along with guidance and advice for institutions and leaders who want to apply this approach but do not know where to begin.
