Infusing Sustainability into Graduate Level Higher Education and Student Affairs Coursework
Michel, Jessica Ostrow; Buckley, Jessica; Friedensen, Rachel; Anderson-Long, Maria; Garibay, Juan
About Campus, v27 n6 p4-11 Jan-Feb 2023
Issues of sustainability, plus how to both prepare students and lead organizations in working for sustainability, often remain a curricular afterthought for higher education administration. While recent research on sustainability education has advocated for embedding sustainability in all coursework across curricula, Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) as a field of study is largely not engaging in this practice. As such, in this article, the authors provide five curricular examples of infusing sustainability into already existing graduate-level HESA curricula.
