Presented are background information and descriptions of jobs in various Texas marine industries, as well as a summary of the training required for particular positions. Since the emphasis is upon vocational-technical training for immediate job placement, most opportunities discussed require a high school diploma and some on-the-job education. Positions covered include those involving marine transportation, energy exploration, fisheries, shipbuilding, and commercial diving.
