Part IV includes a technical discussion on loading, boarding, cruising, docking, anchoring, knot tying, maintenance, courtesy, security, and storage. Part V describes how boating accidents and emergencies should be handled. It describes types of accidents, emergencies, aquatic safety, alcohol facts, distress signals, accident reporting, fires on board, and first aid. Part VI discusses weather, navigation, dams, locks, trailering, water sports, white water, and sailboats.
