This second volume of the University of California, Irvine (UCI), Student Affirmative Action (SAA) Five-Year Plan contains the complete student affirmative action plans as submitted by 33 academic and administrative units at UCI. The volume is organized by type of unit: academic units, academic retention units, outreach units, and student life units. A list is provided of the units within each of the four types. Each unit provided updates of their 1983-1984 SAA activities and plans for 1984-1985. Each unit relates their activities to the revised SAA goals and objectives. A chart provides an overview of the total number of 1984-1985 SAA activities submitted by 33 units at UCI. For each unit, information is provided on the number of comprehensive programs versus the number that are smaller-scale activities, projects, or events. Other charts summarize information for each unit such as: number of 1984-1985 activities and whether they are ongoing or planned, the general orientation or focus of the unit, the unit's SAA target group, and two examples of typical SAA activities.
