Moral Reasoning, Classroom Behavior, and Sociometric Status among Elementary School Children.
Bear, George G.; Rys, Gail S.
Developmental Psychology, v30 n5 p633-38 Sep 1994
Investigated relations among moral reasoning, classroom behavior, and sociometric status. Among boys, hedonistic moral reasoning was associated with lack of social competencies, acting-out behavior, and low social preference. Moral reasoning influenced sociometric status indirectly through social behavior, and explained variance in sociometric status unaccounted for by acting-out or social competencies. (TM)
