Development of a Relationship-Focused Supplement to Accompany the Holy Nation Citizenship Curriculum for Training Teachers
Hameloth, Nancy J.
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Regent University
The purpose of this dissertation is to develop a relationship-focused supplement for teachers to accompany the Holy Nation Citizenship (HNC) curriculum. Recent studies have confirmed the need for nurturing relationships in childhood and beyond for proper psychological, emotional, and academic development. This emphasis on the power of nurturing relationships is in line with biblical teachings, findings of school and teacher effectiveness, and current brain research. This dissertation relies on the above four areas to produce the targeted relationship-focused training supplement. The literature findings support a transformational, wholistic, and research-driven plan for developing the HNC curriculum supplement.
