Modifying Electroglottograph-Identified Intervals of Phonation: The Effect on Stuttering.
Gow, Merrilyn L.; Ingham, Roger J.
Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, v35 n3 p495-511 Jun 1992
This study, involving an adolescent and adult male with stuttering problems, evaluated modification of the frequency of electroglottograph-measured phonation intervals on stuttering and speech naturalness. Both subjects demonstrated that stuttering could be controlled by modifying the frequency of phonation intervals within short duration ranges, independent of changes in speaking rate or other intervals of phonation.
