"Science Books" is published quarterly to review trade books, textbooks, and reference works in the pure and applied sciences for students in the elementary school, secondary school, and first two years of college. It includes selected advanced and professional books useful for reference by students and faculty members. The approximately 240 titles included are listed according to one of 43 categories listed in order of the Dewey Decimal Classification System of pure and applied sciences. In addition to an abstract of the book, the reviewer includes a code indicating the degree to which the book is recommended and the grade level(s) for which it is most appropriate. A title index and a list of the reviewers are included. (PR)
