"The Journal for Specialists in Group Work" ("JSGW") is the journal of the Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW), a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). "JSGW" publishes articles related to "group work theory, interventions, training, current issues, and research" (ASGW, 2011). "JSGW" was first published in 1976 and is currently published by ASGW and Taylor and Francis Group. Patterns of articles published in "JSGW" from 1981-2010 were reviewed in this meta-study. Author (e.g., sex, employment setting, nation of domicile) and article (e.g., topic, design, sample, sample size, participant type, statistical procedures, and sophistication) characteristics were analyzed for trends over time.
