An Analysis of the Application and Enrollment Processes for In-State and Out-of-State Students at a Large Public University.
Curs, Bradley; Singell, Larry D., Jr.
Economics of Education Review, v21 n2 p111-24 Apr 2002
Two separate empirical analyses use time-series data for the University of Oregon to estimate and compare the responsiveness of applicants and enrollees to variations in the net price. Results show that prior studies may understate student price responsiveness. Finds that elasticity estimates differ for in-state and out-of-state students. Suggests implications for university enrollment management. (Contains 30 references.) (Authors/PKP)
