People Without Choice. Report of the 21st Anniversary Conference of the International Planned Parenthood Federation.
Abel-Smith, Brian
Based on the premise that all people have a right to free choice in matters of family planning, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) Conference proceedings included discussions on worldwide contraceptive practices, planned parenthood and socio-economic development, legal influences, and cultural barriers to family planning. Over the 21 years that IPPF has been in existence, the role of family planning has gradually been recognized and accepted in many countries and on an international level. Goals for the future include the initiation of volunteer community-based family planning services in nations throughout the world, strengthening of existing services, and urging of nations and international organizations to support family planning attitudes and services.
