Effects of Recurrent Otitis Media on Language, Speech, and Educational Achievement in Menominee Indian Children.

Among 28 monolingual English-speaking Menominee Indian children, a history of otitis media was associated with significantly lower scores on measures of language comprehension and speech perception and production at ages 3-5, and on school standardized tests 2 years later.
