Management is evolving as a foundational domain to the field of instructional design and technology. However, there are few tools dedicated to the management of instructional design and development projects and activities. In this article, we describe the development, features and implementation of an instructional design database--built from a commonly available database program--to manage course design, scheduling, training, contracts, payments and other activities involved in managing a team of instructional designers and a large number of course development projects.
