Entrepreneurship Training in Vocational Education.
South Carolina State Dept. of Education, Columbia. Office of Vocational Education.
This guide on entrepreneurship is designed for use as a unit within an existing course. The unit is best used as individualized instruction, although small groups could be used; class discussions should precede individual work. Material is organized into six parts: entrepreneurship as a career, legal considerations of entrepreneurship, selecting a location, getting the enterprise started, marketing strategy, and a capstone activity, "Starting Your Own Business." Each unit contains a teacher instruction sheet that presents competencies, a description of the unit, items for duplication, recommended evaluation, and a listing of suggested supplementary resources. These types of student materials suitable for reproduction are included: instruction sheet with competencies, information sheets, activities, and capstone activities. A unit test and answer keys as appropriate for the test and activities are provided. A list of resources is appended. (YLB)
